today's session

I played for just one hour this morning(8:30-9:30 CET).
Limit Hold 'em(0.02-0.04 stakes) and won $0.36. (So my account balance is $7.67 now)
5% grow in one session.

If you strictly follow your plan nothing can happen against you in long-run.
It's soon for judgment but I know this is possible to make some money in these micro tables.
But I am not sure that is same for higher stakes.
But I can play in 2 or 3 tables in same time so it's possible to make more money without going to higher stakes.

Trading or playing maybe both !!!!!

I like trading. But good trading is too hard. You should have a decent trading system.
You should have enough money. You should have money management. You should follow the market all day long( And you can not because you had to sleep a few hours ). And so many other things.

But in playing you choose a table and play. That's it.If you have 3 hours you can play three hours.
And you can play 7 days per week but you can trade 5 days/week.
Best advantage in playing is there is nuts. But there is no such thing in trading . when you have nuts nothing can happen against you. Put money as much as you can but you can not go all-in in trading(Full margin) because there is always risk involved no matter how much a setup looks good.

my Bankroll stats

I won $6 in freeroll at ultimatebet last week.( 7 stud high, I finished in 3th place).
And I used this money to play in cash tables ( low limit hold 'em ) and won some.
then lost some. won some again. lost some again. lol lol and then won some!!! and lost around $1.
and went to a No Limit table a played with just $0.50 and won around $1.20.(with KJ suited flop gave me full house !!! )
Right now my bankroll is 7.29.( at peak it was around $8 ) not bad.
I played almost 8 hours today!!!!

I will play Low Limit again tomorrow ( $0.02/$0.04 stakes ).
You wont believe how many tough players play in these micro tables.!!!!
Why is that ?

I played in a table at UB with 34% seen flop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( I have never seen such a tight table in a micro limit table )
Today's lesson :

Play in loose tables not in tight tables because it does not matter how good you are. You will lose for certain.

no limit hold 'em versus limit hold 'em

well, If you want to have fun play No Limit Hold 'em.
You can bluff a lot in no limit Hold 'em. And you can bet a lot any amount.
You are free to go all in with a 23offsiut preflop lol.

But if you want to play for a living with a limited bankroll, you should think again.
I like No Limit Hold 'em very much and I play it well. But I prefer play it in tournaments not in cash tables. because there are so much risk involved and I can not afford that.
But sometimes I play with a very low Buy-in amount to win some of my losses in Limit Hold 'em !!!
I know that is not a good decision at all. But I do it.

Playing Limit Hold 'em have so many advantages but it's so hard to win in every session. You lose a lot of sessions for many reasons:
1- Some morons rewarded !!! and you lose with any good cards.
2- You can not bluff at all.(trust me)
3-You should play too tight.(and it's not fun at all)

Play for a living !!! sounds intersting ? but ...

Everybody like to play for a living. why ?
There are so many advantages:
1- You are playing not working !!!
2- You are free.
3- You do not had to go out.
4- no boss.
5- You can play when you like.
6- You can play where you like.
etc

but is it that easy ?

Bad news:
1- It's not that fun ( why ? Playing with your friend is fun I know, But trust me it's not fun when you play for a living )
2- In some days you lose money, no matter what stake you play and in which level you are.
Imagine you played 5 hours and no income even you lost your money !!!
3- casino wins consistently not you !!! :(
4- Bad beats ( no comments )

build bankroll slowly !!!

Do not trade(play) with money that you can not afford to lose !!!
I think it is best advice because when you play with the money you need it very much, you can not play or trade well.
And you lose all your money because you do poorly when you do not have enough money to move.
what should we do then ?
well. There are some way to build a bankroll.
First of all you can play in freerolls and win some money without any risk.
yeah, that's not much, I know but has some advantages :
1- If you lose your winning, nothing can happen to your limited capital.
2- Playing in freerolls is so hard that you can learn a lot ( why ? because there are too many players in freerolls, like 10,000 in pokerstars and 4000 in ultimatebet. but a few wins, something like 17 to 27, so it's so much harder than a real tournament)
3- There is a good feeling when you win in freerolls and that prize is so sweet !!!!!!!!( those pennies is sweetest pennies in the world.)
4- You can deposit a small amount $10 to $30 and get some bonus and play in low stake and then withdrawal it and deposit it into another casino and get some bonus. In this way you can build your bankroll without too much risk.

Citizens of Denmark, Finland, U.S. have most freedom to travel without visas

Citizens of Denmark, Finland, U.S. have most freedom to travel without visas
15:50:28 EST Feb 2, 2006

ZURICH, Switzerland (AP) - Citizens of Denmark, Finland and the United States enjoy the greatest freedom to travel without needing visas, according to a study published Thursday.

The report, compiled by the Zurich-based firm Henley & Partners AG, found that Danes, Finns and Americans can travel to 130 countries or territories without a visa.

These three are followed by Germany, Ireland and Sweden - whose citizens can visit 129 countries without a visa - then Britain, France, Italy and Japan (128).

Canada was tied with Austria, Luxembourg and New Zealand in 16th place on the list. Citizens of these countries can visit 125 states without a visa.

"In today's globalized world, visa restrictions play an important role in controlling the movement of foreign nationals across borders," said Henley & Partners, which advises private and business clients on international tax and real estate issues. "Almost all countries now require visas from certain non-nationals who wish to enter their territory."

Afghanistan came in last place, with its citizens allowed free travel to just 12 countries. Internationally isolated Iran was next at 14, followed by Iraq, Myanmar and Somalia at 15.

Henley & Partners - which compiled the results by assessing some 40,000 combinations of countries and territories - said it was the first global ranking showing international freedom of travel.

"Visa requirements are also an expression of the relationships between individual nations, and generally reflect the relations and status of a country within the international community," the company said.

I want to make a living by playing poker ( no limit and Limit Hold'em or Stud or Omaha but I prefer micro limit Hold 'em right now !!! ) and/or trading ( forex, futures, cfds ).

Playing poker and trading have so much in common.
1- Minus sum game.
2- Money management is most important aspect in trading and bankroll management is most important aspect of poker.
3- Risk / Reward game.
4- Chance has a little effect but skills has most effect.
5- You should control your emotions.
6- Do not be greedy.
7- Tight / aggressive playing(trading) is best strategy.
8- You should have a plan and strictly follow it.(discipline)
9- You never now what you get in short-term but it's not the case in long-run.
